A private garden in East London with architects Studio Shaw.
This project was a close collaboration with the client, an architect who designed the building as their own home. The garden is composed of three distinct spaces, starting with a planted arrival corridor that transitions visitors into the property. The pathway turns in towards the house to a framed through the building and towards a central courtyard. An enclosed outdoor bathroom then sits at the end of an east-west axis. Featuring a bath immersed in lush, jungle-like planting which offers a strong contrasting escape to the city’s intense urban environment.
